Abstract

Irrigation plays an important role in increasing agricultural production, Indonesia is an agricultural country whose people are mostly engaged in agriculture. To increase land production, a good irrigation system is needed, in this case an irrigation network (buildings and canals) is needed that can distribute irrigation water regularly. and measurable. Irrigation areas that have been built require an Operation and Maintenance system so that irrigation networks can run properly according to their functions. With the existence of an irrigation network, this abundant water can be accommodated, so that it can prevent flooding. In addition to preventing flooding, the existence of an irrigation network can also help farmers, especially during times of drought. Water that is stored during high rainfall can be channeled during the dry season, so that the availability of water for plants can be guaranteed. South Sulawesi Province has 25 irrigation areas with central authority. Irrigation areas with an area of 248,451.00 ha have generally been built and equipped with operation and maintenance manuals according to the design, these activities will be carried out in the D.I Palakka area, Palakka District, Bone Regency.
