SOCIALIZATION OF THE COVID-19 VIRUS AND THE IMPLEMENTATION OF HEALTH PROTOCOLS IN THE KELURAHAN SUKA MAJU SUB-DISTRICT MEDAN JOHOR

The COVID-19 pandemic is an ongoing coronavirus disease that was first identified in Wuhan, China. To reduce the spread of the Covid 19 virus, the Government has implemented a revision of the Large Social Restrictions (PSBB) and the implementation of health protocols in daily life. The lack of knowledge of the residents of the Suka Maju Village about the covid 19 pandemic and the importance of implementing health protocols, it is necessary to socialize about the covid 19 virus and the benefits of implementing health protocols. With socialization about the covid 19 virus and health protocols, it is hoped that residents of the Suka Maju Village will know what the covid virus is and how to prevent its spread. Apart from that, socialization also increases public awareness to implement health protocols in daily life. The results after the community service activities were carried out, namely the understanding of residents in the Suka Maju Village, Medan Johor District, namely 24.5% was very good, 64.7 was good and 10.8 was quite good.
