Prevention of Stunting by Fulfilling Nutrition during Pregnancy and Breastfeeding as well as Improving Diet and Parenting for Infants and Toddlers in Cibadak District, Lebak Regency

Stunting is still a problem that must receive special attention from the Indonesian government, especially when the Covid-19 pandemic hit the world including Indonesia, the living conditions of the Indonesian people experienced significant changes both in economic, social and spiritual conditions including health conditions which greatly impacted the welfare of life. Stunting is a condition of failure to thrive in children under 5 years of age where their height does not grow optimally so that it is not proportional to their age (dwarf/short). The survey conducted by the Indonesian Nutrition Status Study in Banten province in 2021 found 24.5% of stunting cases, while in Lebak district there were 27.5%. Akper Yatna Yuana Lebak in realizing the Tridarma in the field of community service in collaboration with the Catholic Women of the Republic of Indonesia branch of Rangkasbitung, took part in realizing the target of reducing stunting rates in Lebak district with health education activities to the community related to stunting prevention. This community service activity aims to increase knowledge for mothers about the nutritional needs of pregnant women, nursing mothers, infants and toddlers, as well as increase awareness for mothers to have good parenting for their babies and toddlers so that they can apply attention and eating patterns that are suitable for their needs. son according to his age. This community service activity was carried out on June 12, 2022 at Kp. Dukuh, Asem Margaluyu village, Cibadak District, Lebak Regency, Banten. The targets for this activity are pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, mothers with babies and toddlers, in Kp. Dukuh, Asem Margaluyu village, Cibadak District, Lebak Regency, Banten. The activities carried out are holding counseling on stunting prevention for pregnant women, nursing mothers, mothers with babies and toddlers, providing additional food in the form of green beans, milk, biscuits, eggs for pregnant women, lactating mothers and toddlers to increase nutritional intake, and distributing basic necessities to the people of Dukuh Village, Asem Margaluyu Village, Cibadak District, Lebak Regency, Banten. Counseling was attended by 40 participants consisting of pregnant women, nursing mothers, mothers with toddlers. The results of the post-test questionnaire from 40 participants 29 got a high knowledge score, 7 participants got a medium knowledge score and 4 participants got a low knowledge score.
