Building Entrepreneurial Insights of MA AL-Hikmah Students with Organic Waste Management into Eco Enzyme

This study aims to enhance entrepreneurial insights among MA Al-Hikmah students through training in organic waste management to produce Eco Enzymes. Eco Enzyme is a fermented liquid made from organic waste that serves various purposes, such as a natural cleaner and air freshener. The activity was conducted in the form of face-to-face socialization and training involving 27 students from grade 10 and grade 11. The study results indicate that the activity successfully increased students' environmental awareness and opened opportunities for environment-based businesses. Students who were previously unfamiliar with processing organic waste are now able to produce Eco Enzymes using simple materials like orange and pineapple peels. Products derived from Eco Enzymes, such as air fresheners, are tangible outcomes of this training. This activity not only positively impacts environmental preservation but also fosters entrepreneurial spirit among the students. The study also revealed that most participants were motivated to apply and share their business ideas and recommend the training course. Despite some challenges, such as limited access to time and space, the activity successfully achieved its planned objectives. Through the diversification of Eco Enzyme products, the broader community will become more familiar with this multifunctional liquid. Products made from organic waste, which previously held no economic value, are transformed into business opportunities with marketable value and will be promoted as part of community education
